I am sure that a good example is better than the hundreds of words trying to explain something. Giving good examples is something you will have to do while writing an illustration essay. You have a certain idea or a point of view, and in your illustration essay you will need to find the right examples to convince the reader that you are right.
For instance, in my illustration essay I would like to talk about the harm that the drugs can bring into the life of any person. I have a perfect example to illustrate my standpoint.
A long time ago I knew one guy. This was rather interesting and nice person. I am sure he could have a good career, family. Once I found out that he was taking drugs. In the beginning it was just a fun for him. It was once or twice a month.
As you can guess, time passed and he got addicted. Drugs became a part of his life and it was a significant part. He even started to steal things from the house to find money for another dose. Finally, he appeared in the prison. I do not know what happened exactly, but it is apparent that drugs were the reason.
He did some time in prison, came back home and nobody could recognize this person. The time spent in prison changed him dramatically and I am sure he will never be the same again. I do not know about his life after that, but are there any things in this world that can change the situation.
I think after such examples a lot of people will think twice before taking drugs. So, if you have some issues that you are really concerned about, try to find the bright examples, which will make somebody to change his/her mind.
